Yeah it's been a long time!
Happy Thanksgiving
Yes, I know it is the end of December and I am posting Thanksgiving pictures, but I didn't realize it had been so long... We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We headed "Up North" to Scott and JoAnn's cottage. It was a fabulous traditional Thanksgiving. The food was delicious! I don't think I've ever enjoyed Thanksgiving food so much.

That's right. I put olives on my fingers and ate them that way. The only problem is, olives don't fit as well on my fingers as they did when I was younger.

Ju and B's Wedding
On September 23, 2009 Julie married Bryson on a gorgeous Utah fall day.
This is Mark and I being super cool in our sunglasses, waiting outside the temple.
The bride and groom.
My cute brothers. They both had on funky socks because neither of them ever get dress up unless it is their sister getting married and they HAVE to wear a tux. But they are still super handsome!
She is so pretty!

Labor Day
For Labor Day weekend this year, Jared and I headed down to Illinois. We stayed in Lincolnshire, a small suburb just outside of Chicago where our friend Summer was performing in "Light in the Piazza". We had a lot of fun just hanging out and spending time with friends.
The hotel we stayed at was beautiful. Jared and I took sometime exploring the grounds.
Here is Dave, Jeff and Jared. While Summer was at her afternoon show, we went mini-golfing. Probably the most fun I've had mini-golfing because I was winning after the first 9 holes. Sadly the boys made a come back on the last 9, but it was still a lot of fun.
Jared was the winner of mini-golf.

A+A
On August 8, 2009 Adrien and Adam were married in Wickham, England. It was a beautiful wedding, and the most beautiful bride ever!
See, isn't she so pretty
Duane wore a kilt.
In England, it is tradition for the women to wear fancy hats to the wedding ceremony. Well, Julie and I wanted to make sure we fit in. Here we are in our hats getting ready to head over to the church.
Isn't she lovely!

And the wedding party.
This is the car Adrien and Adam left the church in.
Yes, you are seeing this picture correctly. Those are cows in the back ground. The reception was held in the backyard of Adam's father's home (where Adam grew up) It was a spectacular setting. A big white tent set up on the grass with green rolling hills in the background. And yes, the neighbor has cows that came up to check out the action.
The bride and groom getting ready to cut the cake.
Adam and Adrien had the best idea for dancing at the wedding. They hired an Irish Folk band and had a caller teaching all the guest traditional Irish dances. It was a blast. This is part of one of the dances, it's call the basket.
Just the sissies!
The end of a great night.

Scotland
So I've been really bad. We've been home from the UK for a little over a month and I am just posting about it... I am a slacker.
Well the family had a fabulous time in Scotland. We covered a lot of ground in just 4 days.
This is the hotel we stayed in. It was AMAZING!!! The Dalmahoy just out of the city set on a golf course.
This is the end of our first day in Edinburgh, Scotland and after dinner what did we do? Photo shoot!
Just the girls..
Here we are at Edinburgh Castle. It is set on a huge mountain right in the city, and has the most spectacular views of the city.
One of the days the whole group piled into the car and took a drive through the Scottish highlands. I have never seen so many green rolling hills. And of course we had to see some Helian Coo's.
On our last full day in Edinburgh we spent some time walking around the city. There are the most beautiful flowers everywhere!
On the final day in Scotland, before we had to fly to England, we made a quick trip to the William Wallace Monument. Thank you Adam for making it happen!
