Here's one to tell the kids...

For those of you who have always lived in a home that was built after 1930, you won't know what is going on in these pictures... To give you all a little insight to living in Milwaukee: The winters are brutally cold and the houses old and not insulated. You really can feel a breeze of cold air when you sit by a closed window. In attempt to help insulate we put plastic on the windows. It sounds funny, but it really helps. How it works is you put double sided tape around the window, then put up a sheet of plastic and then you use the blow dyer to shrink it.

It's a lot of fun!

  1. Our kitchen window has the same stuff!! I'm impressed that you can now say you have shot a gun. I hope that it was all you wanted it to be and more :)
